Creating a nature reserve
24
Over the last three years a small group of Villagers have been trying to remove a large area of Himalayan Balsam from a plot of land at the rear of the Samuel white field adjacent to the public foot path. The area has not changed in over 100 years and is an area of outstand significance in its preservation of a wetland site that would at one time cover much of Middleton. If you would like to help in the project to convert into a nature reserve please contact Tony Harris on 0771 422 6452 every bit of volunteer help will big a big boost to this project.
